USD 309 remains in RED Gating Criteria
for the week of 
November 2-6, 2020.

USD 309 Panther Families:

Each Friday the Reno County Health Department releases the 14-day PTR (positive test rate) and the 14-day new case average.  The data released dictates the gating criteria color we follow for the coming week.  We will remain in the RED for next week.  COVID-19 in Reno County is down slightly this week.

I encourage everyone living in Reno to be tested at the Free Community Testing Events.   Log on to  https://www.renogov.org/767/Get-Tested, for more information and directions as to how to sign up.  We need our community to take responsibility to social distance, wear a mask, wash hands, and stay home when ill. 

 

New Initiatives in Reno County to help slow the spread of Covid-19 are below:

Cut Off Covid 10-Day Challenge – challenge is to change behavior

  • Wear a Mask and Social distance 6 feet at all times in indoor spaces (outside of your home), plus maintain at least 6 feet of distance outdoors.
  • Avoid being indoors with non-household members except for school, work that can’t be done from home, and activities deemed absolutely essential.
  • Work from home, if possible, and hold meetings online rather than in person.
  • Hold gatherings online rather than in person, and avoid situations that involve singing, refreshments, and other high-risk activities.
  • Support local restaurants and businesses through take-out, curbside delivery, and online shopping.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 4th 12:45 – 1:15  Hutch Chamber hosting a Lunchtime Lowdown (speaking to businesses, about quarantine, metrics and working from home)

Thursday, Nov. 5th 7:00 p.m. (via – Zoom) Town Hall Meeting  - Hosted by providers working on the front lines, to include local Superintendents, Hutch Chamber representatives and Health Officers.

Gating Criteria

Free Community Testing Through Reno County Drive Thru Testing Sites

Testing is open to everyone whether you have symptoms or no symptoms. To ensure privacy, everyone wanting to be tested MUST schedule an appointment with Reno County Health Department at 1-844-834-3657.

Testing will take place at the Kansas State Fair Oz Building Breezeway on the following dates and times:

  • Tue., Nov. 3 at 4-7pm
  • Sat., Nov. 7 at 10am-1pm
  • Tue., Nov. 10 at 4-7pm
  • Tue., Nov. 17 at 4-7pm
  • Sat., Nov. 21 at 10am-1pm
  • Tue., Nov. 24 at 4-7pm
